Early Tuesday morning, we made port in Roatan, Honduras. This day was definitely the highlight of our trip. After a 30 minute drive, we arrived at the starting point of our ziplining adventure and got loaded up with all of our gear. Our guides were about 8 young men who were natives of the island. After a safety briefing, we watched our guides take off to go to the platforms throughout the canopy. The course was about 3 miles long with around 15 separate ziplines
Our guides definitely made this experience the best that it could be. We gave our camera to one of the guides (pictured with us in the yellow shirt). He did a fabulous job of taking action shots of us while we were ziplining. Our guide was the last one to rejoin our group at the end of our adventure, and we were thrilled when we thought he had taken a couple of pictures as he was ziplining to the last platform. It turns out he wasn't taking still pictures, but he actually took a video of the last leg of the zipline! Now we can literally relive this fabulous day. Enjoy a taste of the beauty of Honduran canopy.
After ziplining in the morning, we were taken to a private strip of beach, and again we met new friends, Holly and Cory, who were also on our ship. We were so glad to meet another couple to have dinner with and hang out with for the remainder of the cruise.
