Let me preface this post by saying...if you are hoping/expecting to read a sweet mushy Valentine's Day tale, you should probably find another post to read!
I've always liked Valentine's Day. I think it is fun to spoil the people I love! It is also my Grandma's birthday. This year she turned 94! To celebrate, Mikayla, my mom, and my Aunt Lynne all travelled to visit my Grandma. We showered her with balloons and tons of sweet treats (yep...I think freckles AND my sweet tooth come from my Grandma) and then we headed out to lunch. I won't mention the fact that Mikayla tends to steal the show whereever she goes... and the restaurant was no different. We had a really nice time, and Mikayla LOVED meeting her Great Grandma and Great Aunt. Here is a picture of 4 generations:
Later that evening Brian and I had planned a dessert date for after Mikayla went to bed. Yummy freshly-baked mini chocolate chip pies with ice cream on top. A chance for us to sit down and talk and actually look at each other. Nice, right? Well a nasty stomach virus for me stopped those plans. Brian enjoyed a steak, baked potato and dessert with his tiny Valentine, and I had an evening of...stomach virus. No worries, I cashed in on our dessert date this weekend when I was finally up for eating completely normal food! Ahhh...the day of love!

My Grandma, Mom, Mikayla, and Me. Yes, Mikayla is waving to the camera!
